conquerors
Wow! It has been SO long since I started this thing and still haven't used it! Well, I've recently given up facebook for awhile, so hopefully I will be inspired to do more constructive things such as trying to sort out my mess of a head via writing.
These past few weeks have seemed pretty trying to me. It seems that I am in a constant test of faith, of love, and the general character God has been building up in me all these years We have walked together. I cannot say that I have been victorious in all of these, as my selfish motives have often cut in front of God's perfect way. However, I have been dwelling on the idea of Romans 8:37--that through the power that raised Christ from the dead, we are MORE than conquerors!! It is such an empowering feeling, in the midst of my utter helplessness...that no weapon formed against me shall remain...God is my victory and He is here! I encourage you to listen to "Desert Song" by Hillsong.
I have also been able to take a step back to see what God has brought me through and even what He is leading me through at the moment. I see his faithfulness and devotion to me and my heart and His promise to continue the good work in me that He began. I have found incredible comfort in the book of Isaiah, but mostly in Isaiah 43:2-3:
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;
I give Egypt for your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your stead.
That's all for now, but...I will hopefully be back sooner this time =) Have a great day!
